Do You Understand Single-Use Two Part Syringe?

A syringe is used to inject small amounts of liquid or gas into areas that other methods cannot reach (such as within the skin, blood vessels, etc.), or to extract things from those areas. Syringes are divided into two-piece and three-piece. The three-piece structure consists of the plunger, piston, outer sleeve, injection needle, and outer packaging. A syringe without a piston is a two-piece syringe. Two part syringes do not contain silicone oil or rubber gaskets, effectively reducing manufacturing pollution and the content of easily oxidized substances, thus providing a cleaner and better biocompatible environment. The syringe interior includes an anti-slip structure to prevent the plunger from accidentally slipping out of the outer sleeve.

How is a two part syringe?

Two part syringes remove the black rubber cap and silicone oil, effectively reducing manufacturing pollution and the content of easily oxidized substances, thereby providing a cleaner and better biocompatible environment. The syringe's interior includes an anti-slip structure to prevent the plunger from accidentally slipping out of the outer sleeve. The packaging is reliable and easy to open, ensuring that the residue of ethylene oxide after sterilization in small packages does not exceed the standard. Due to the characteristics of fewer component parts and no rubber parts, it reduces the risk of the drug reacting with rubber parts and causing discomfort to patients, making it widely used for injecting or drawing liquids in the intradermal, subcutaneous, muscular, and intravenous areas of the human body.

Features of the two part syringe

  • Fewer component parts, effectively reducing manufacturing pollution.

  • High sterilization suitability, fast ethylene oxide resolution speed, low residue, protecting the health of healthcare workers and patients.

  • High precision in structural design, strict control in the manufacturing process.

  • No rubber parts structure, effectively reducing the content of easily oxidized substances, improving patient usage safety.

  • Two part syringe has clear scale printing, strong ink adhesion, reducing usage risk.

  • Includes an anti-slip structure, preventing the plunger from accidentally slipping out of the outer sleeve.

  • Includes a plunger breaking structure, allowing easy breaking of the plunger after use to prevent reuse.

  • Manufactured with medical-grade materials, excellent biocompatibility.

Types of needle heads for two part syringes

Currently, there are the following types of syringe needle heads:

Luer lock

The needle seat can be detached and installed; it can be securely connected via threads, enhancing safety and stability.

Slip tip

Currently the most common type of needle head in China, users can simply install the needle seat onto the syringe, but it does not have the fixed functionality of the Luer lock.

Eccentric tip

Used when parallel injection of medication is needed to avoid the needle puncturing both sides of the blood vessel wall, making it easier to draw medication or solution.

Catheter tip

Used for large-volume rinsing, featuring a longer tip that can be inserted into the catheter interface for tight connection, used for Foley catheters/feeding tubes.

Fixed needle

Often used in low-dose syringes as it can reduce medication waste; many insulin syringes have fixed needles.
